Mistress led Penny out of the house via the servants entrance. This was the first time Penny had been outside. For a few seconds Penny enjoyed the sensation of freedom. She was tied at the wrists, so still in bondage, still collared, with a collar that held a tracking device, and the mistress of the house still held her shoulders, but the fresh air and absence of walls gave her a sense of freedom.
The house was right next to the farm, really part of it. The farm was L shaped with the house in the crook of the L. But there was no direct access from the house to the farm. It had been built in a time when the gentry who owned it would have considered it "common" and "vulgar" to have direct access to the place that made them their money. The current master and mistress of the house were not that pretentious, but they had not bothered to correct this oversight. As a result Penny was marched down the drive, out of the house, and down the road to the entrance gate for the farm. This was only a matter of fifteen or twenty yards and they were not overlooked by any other building, all around was farm land. However Penny became acutely aware of the fact that she was not wearing a blouse. She felt embarrassed, and afraid that someone might come along at any time, a hiker or farm labourer for example.
Then they reached the gate that led into the farm. Mistress opened it and pushed Penny through. She knew she was about to be displayed to the farm labourers. She felt so ashamed that she wanted to cry.
